Solutions that Captivate
Laurie Gardner's passion for youth, education and the arts manifests itself in a variety of forms including involvement in a series
of public art projects organized by ArtWorks, a nonprofit agency in Grand Rapids. Something Fishy and Le Petite Vitesse paired professional
artists with student apprentices to create public works of art displayed throughout the city. The Red Thread project engaged youth and
adults in the creation of knitted hats that were attached to a knitted red thread and featured in a public performance. For all of these
projects, The W Group provided marketing and communication services including the planning, development and execution of all media and
materials. The campaigns included identity materials, print literature, websites, direct mail, media relations, promotions and special
events. "Jim is exceptional in developing innovative, imaginative, and creative communication strategies and design solutions
that captivate and connect with the viewer and customer," says Laurie. "I am impressed by his ability to quickly understand and assess
an organization's specific needs. Even in situations like ours, where we have been the recipient of donated services, he is always
timely, highly professional, reliable, and thorough." Laurie calls The W Group "exceptionally pleasant to work with." She adds,
"I've never been disappointed with the final product."
